Christopher Loose serves as SteriCoat's Chief Technology Officer, continuing the development of long-lasting antimicrobial coatings for medical devices. He invented SteriCoat's core technologies during his thesis research under Bob Langer and Greg Stephanopoulos at MIT. He led a team creating a business plan to commercialize this technology, and won the MIT 100K Business Plan Competition, Harvard Biotechnology Business Plan Competition, and the Oxford University Business Plan Competion. SteriCoat has completed seed fundraising and has grown to 6 full-time employees. Previously, Chris worked in clinical trial scale-up at Merck Research Laboratories after graduating summa cum laude from Princeton University where he developed a de novo drug design approach.
