Profile: David is a PhD candidate in Professor Jonathan Weissman's lab at the University of California, San Francisco.  His research in the Weissman lab is focused on developing new techniques for functional genomics in yeast.  More broadly, he is interested in the challenge of deciphering how the genome gives rise to complex biological functions.
